What is a Lash Lift & Tint?

A lash lift and tint is a semi-permanent treatment that enhances the natural lashes by lifting, curling, and darkening them to create the appearance of longer, fuller lashes - without the need for extensions or mascara.

The process involves applying a chemical solution that temporarily breaks down the disulphide bonds in the lash’s keratin structure, allowing the lash to be repositioned into a desired shape. Once the lashes are set in place, a neutralising solution reforms the bonds, locking and lifting them upward from the root for maximum definition. This is followed by a tinting treatment, which darkens the lashes from root to tip, giving a mascara-like finish that lasts for weeks.

The foundations of lash lifting trace back to the early 1900s, when Karl Ludwig Nessler, a German hairdresser and inventor, developed the first perming technique for hair.
